Take a break and spring on into the library for a morning of crafting for all ages! See what you can create with a variety of different projects and supplies to choose from. No registration required.

Crafting with a Purpose-Teddy Bears

When: Saturday, March 14, 2026 - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Where: Fairway Branch at Arizona Room 1

Come join us for a fun, hands-on program for all ages! Together, we will make cuddly teddy bears to donate to Sunshine Acres Children’s Home, a caring home that supports children separated from their parents and helps them build long-term relationships. No experience is needed and all supplies are provided, just bring your smile and creativity as we spread comfort and joy, one bear at a time! Registration is required.

Maricopa County Animal Care & Control Adoption Event

Get ready for a "paws-itively" wonderful day at the library! We are thrilled to host Maricopa County Animal Care & Control for a special community event. Whether you’re looking to find a new best friend or just want to support your local shelter, there’s something for every dog lover. Visit the Mobile Adoption Bus in the parking lot to meet adorable, adoptable dogs looking for their forever homes.

Bring your blankets and pillows and your favorite movie snacks to join us for a movie night! We will be watching the 2000 film, The Emperor's New Groove!
The film is rated G and has a runtime of 78 minutes.

Strum Together: Acoustic Guitar Circle

Join our Acoustic Guitar Circle, a welcoming space for all skill levels! Whether you are a beginner or experienced, come learn, play, and enjoy music with others in a relaxed and supportive environment. All are welcome to share their love for guitar!
This program will take place on the third Saturday of each month starting in May.

West Valley Astronomy Club Presents: STAR PARTY

When: Monday, March 23, 2026 - 6:00 PM - 8:45 PM
Where: Georgia T. Lord Library at Goodyear Civic Square Park Stage

The desert southwest is the ‘astronomy capital’ of the United States. Here the sky is always a source of spectacle, inspiration, and discussion.
Astronomers and quality optical telescopes provide a unique experience of direct observation of the Moon, planets, their moons, galaxies, star clusters, and gaseous nebulae. You’ll be awed by this natural spectacle! The West Valley Astronomy Club leads this stargazing event with high powered telescopes. BRING LAWN CHAIRS and/or picnic blankets to enjoy the sounds of jazz under the stars!

Arizona Wildlife!

When: Tuesday, March 24, 2026 - 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM
Where: Georgia T. Lord Library at Community Room

Celebrate the amazing diversity of wildlife that call Arizona home! This event introduces you to fascinating non-releasable live wildlife ambassadors while exploring their unique adaptations & behaviors. A wildlife educator from Arizona Game and Fish brings live native species to show how to identify some of the most commonly seen backyard wildlife and best practices for avoiding conflicts. Get an up-close look at some of our Arizona animals and learn how they survive in the desert. This is a no registration, ticketed event. Tickets handed out 15 minutes prior to the event.

Coloring with the Classics

When: Sunday, March 29, 2026 - 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Where: North Valley Regional at Classroom Lab 1

This program is for adults, teens, and children. Drop by between 3pm--4pm on the last Sunday of the month to do a coloring sheet of a famous artwork while listening to classical music! Each month will feature a different artwork/musician that you can learn about. This program will take place in the main library.
