What is “Mexicanidad”? Come, find out! Learn how Mexicanidad influenced the portrayal of women, indigenous people, and culture in Mexico’s art of the 20th century. See what led to a shift to Mexican scenes and Mexican life as worthy subjects for art. Registration needed. Adults.
Library: Sun City Branch Library location Location: Program Room Other Information: Docent Sharon Bowden worked as a Research Director in Advertising for over 25 years for Cox Media and Arizona’s Family television networks KTVK, KPHO, and azfamily.com. Before moving to Arizona, she lived in Iowa where she studied art history and studio art at the University of Iowa and the Des Moines Art Center. As a Docent, she's excited to fulfill a long-term goal of cultivating greater access to the arts and art education.
