Through images and engaging discussions, we’ll highlight the distinctive features and ecological importance of these remarkable plants, which support numerous desert species. Attendees of all ages will learn about the saguaro's fascinating characteristics, from its towering presence to its essential role in the ecosystem. Kids can enjoy hands-on activities like crafts and coloring pages, while adults will appreciate the depth of knowledge shared. With a chance to briefly step outside (optional) and see saguaros in their natural setting, this program offers a comprehensive look at these desert giants—all while staying in the cool comfort of the library.
