Art is a transcendent force, and we'll experience its power by viewing and discussing various periods and works of art. This Month: How often have you thought about life as a journey?
Library: Georgia T. Lord Library Library location Artist Thomas Cole created four paintings that he titled The Voyage of Life . Individually they are named Childhood, Youth, Manhood , and Old Age. Using these Cole paintings as a framework, we will explore how many artists have depicted people at various ages on their personal voyage of life. Artists have long portrayed people in a variety of ways, doing many things at different ages. You will not only enjoy seeing the connections between these stages of life; you might also find yourself making a few connections of your own.
