Date: 4/3/2025
Start Time: 1:00 PM

Description:
Docents from Phoenix Art Museum present a series of one-hour talks on a wide variety of art topics. Art is a transcendent force, and we'll experience its power by viewing and discussing various periods and works of art. This Month: How often have you thought about life as a journey?
Artist Thomas Cole created four paintings that he titled The Voyage of Life . Individually
they are named Childhood, Youth, Manhood , and Old Age. Using these Cole paintings as
a framework, we will explore how many artists have depicted people at various ages on
their personal voyage of life. Artists have long portrayed people in a variety of ways, doing
many things at different ages. You will not only enjoy seeing the connections between
these stages of life; you might also find yourself making a few connections of your own.
