Date: 2/20/2024
Start Time: 6:00 PM
End Time: 7:00 PM
Description:
Ellen Jovin, author of the national bestseller Rebel with a Clause: Tales and Tips from a Roving Grammarian, will join us to talk about her travels to all 50 US states with her traveling pop-up grammar advice stand, called the Grammar Table. She will explain why she decided to answer strangers' grammar questions on city streets, what questions were most popular, and why so many people stopped to talk to her. You are welcome to bring your own long-standing grammar questions, and it is possible that Ellen will bring a few questions of her own, though she has promised the library that there will be no pop quizzes. Ellen has written three other books on grammar and writing and is a co-founder of Syntaxis, a communication skills training firm based in New York City.
