The Georgia T. Lord Library is now open!

The Georgia T. Lord Library, located at Goodyear Civic Square, opens on August 1, 2022. This brand new 24,000 SF, two-story library boasts a self-service café, a treehouse themed children’s area, a grand staircase, more than 30 public computers, nine study rooms, and even a dedicated teen space! The new state of the art library offers something for everyone of all ages and abilities!

Be one of the first to visit the new Goodyear City Hall and library!

Festivities begin at 7 a.m. on Aug. 1 with lawn yoga, food trucks and giveaways. The ribbon cutting begins at 8 a.m. and building tours will follow.

Please park in the new parking garage, which can be accessed from 150th Dr. Due to the event, parking spots along Civic Square Park will be blocked off.

Can't make it? No problem. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be streamed LIVE on the city's social media pages.
