Library: North Valley Regional Library location April's #ADULTING workshop will teach teens about making effective and informed money management decisions. The learning objective is to teach teens the basics of saving and investing to accumulate wealth for a comfortable retirement. Primary financial concepts include: fraud prevention, time value of money, how to save, common investment products, diversification, rule of 72 and dollar cost averaging. Representatives from the Arizona Corporation Commission Securities Division will provide a free presentation and materials. #ADULTING focuses on practical life skills for teens. Topical workshops introduce competencies not taught in a traditional classroom, but prove essential for transitioning into adulthood. Registration is REQUIRED as space is limited.
