Bioblitz: 20 years of the Riparian Preserve

 Learn about the diverse life found in our own Riparian Preserve by participating in this fun citizen science event. We will explore the Riparian and observe plants and animals using the iNaturalist app to record our observations for scientific purposes alongside expert scientists and naturalists. Fun for adults and families who love the outdoors. No experience necessary.

 If possible, bring a smartphone, tablet, or digital camera to document species and upload your photos to the iNaturalist app. Don't have either? No problem! Join us and help us spot plants and animals to record. If using a smartphone, you can download the iNaturalist app to upload observations easily.

Remember to also bring water, sunscreen, and good walking shoes. Dress for the weather. Most of all bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!

Creating an account at scistarter.org is a great way to contribute to scientific efforts all over the world and find out about other citizen science opportunities. We recommend creating an account here first.

Next, download the iNaturalist app to your device and create an account at iNaturalist. You can also create an account at iNaturalist.org and then upload pictures from any digital camera.

You can add your iNaturalist user name and password to your scistarter account to keep track of all of your citizen science contributions in one place and to receive new recommendations for citizen science projects to keep on learning and having fun while contributing to scientific discoveries.
