We're exploring the Convair B-58 “Hustler”, the first operational jet bomber capable of Mach 2 flight. It roared on the scene after WWII, setting several speed records, but its service was burdened by costs and the struggle to adapt combat protocols to the rapidly changing technology of the 60's.
