Classic Rock Talk: Eric Clapton

Event Type: NONE
Age Group(s): Adults
Date: 12/13/2019
Start Time: 2:00 PM
End Time: 3:30 PM
Description:
Eric Clapton’s groundbreaking work with the Yardbirds, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith and Derek & the Dominos had earned him fortune and fame. Now he was disillusioned, addicted to drugs and alcohol, and infatuated with his best friend’s wife. “What’ll you do when you get lonely and nobody’s waiting by your side?” —Layla

This 90-minute program will feature live performances of Clapton’s best-known songs, plus a working replica of “The Fool,” the psychedelically painted guitar Clapton used in the ’60s supergroup Cream.
