Infrequent rains, extreme heat, the Arizona desert is host to a variety of animals. The O’otham people have an understanding and appreciation for this diverse ecosystem. From a tribal member perspective and language, the Huhugam Heritage Center discusses several animals, their habitats, and their ability to thrive.
