Phoenix Art Museum Docent, Lori Kirkegaard, presents a look at Charles James, who is remembered and honored as being America’s first couture designer. His creative approach to women’s fashion is evident in his innovative cuts and designs that were wildly popular in the decades of the 1930's through the 1950’s.
